Charlottesville, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Excitement is building in Charlottesville as Virginia prepares for a highly anticipated football showdown. John Freeman, the voice of the Cavaliers, joined WINA Morning News to preview the game, which promises an electric atmosphere. “I’m expecting an electric environment,” Freeman said at the start of the discussion, noting the anticipation of the student section’s strong turnout. The game against Maryland is expected to draw a record number of students, as Freeman emphasized the challenge Virginia faces against a formidable Big Ten team.

Freeman also highlighted the team’s recent success, while addressing concerns about key injuries, including linebacker Kam Robinson. “The key injury though is Kam Robinson, the best player on defense,” Freeman stated, adding that he remains questionable for the game.

With students expected to pack the stands and a determined Maryland team eager to bounce back, it’s set to be a thrilling game.
