“Coastal Carolina is one of the most successful programs in the country,” Freeman noted, highlighting their impressive track record and ranking history. “This is a program that has competed on the national level.” Despite the quirky elements of playing on Coastal’s teal “Surf Turf,” in a stadium named after the founding family of Hooters, the Chanticleers’ performance cannot be underestimated. 

Freeman emphasized how crucial this game is for Coastal Carolina. “Millions of dollars for Coastal Carolina University are resting on this game…sold out crowd. There’s so much happening for them that we have to be able to match that.” The Cavaliers will need to bring their best, particularly in light of recent injuries and a tough loss to Maryland.
