CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Virginia Baseball team (20-14) entered Sunday’s finale against Pitt having split the first two games of the series, winning 7-5 in walk off fashion on Friday and losing 8-7 on Saturday. However, in the rubber match the competitive phase ended quickly as UVA took off offensively and led 13-0 after just three innings. Virginia would close things out in the seventh leading 18-0 to earn the run rule victory. UVA also got another special performance from starter Tomas Valincius who worked 5.2 innings surrendering only 2 hits, no runs with 4 strikeouts.
