CHARLOT6TESVILLE, VA ( CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Virginia Baseball team had the weekend they needed against a hot Miami Hurricanes baseball team.  Behind a solid start from “playoff” Jay Woolfolk, the Hoos cruised to a 6-1 victory on Friday evening.  Then on Saturday, after trailing 8-4, the Cavaliers rallied in the later innings including a lead off homerun by Harrison Didawick in the 9th, en route to a walk off 10-9 win.  Then on Sunday, Virginia finished the deal with an impressive 8-6 win.  The sweep comes at just the right time because heading into the series, the Hoos were not projected to be in the NCAA Tournament.  They now how a huge series coming up starting on Thursday May 15th in Blacksburg against Virginia Tech, as both teams are in the NCAA bubble.  However, the Hoos start a big week taking on George Mason on Tuesday at 6p.m., with coverage on WINA beginning at 5:45p.m.
