CHARLOTTE, NC (CVILLERIGHTNOW): In their annual preseason poll, ACC baseball coaches selected the Virginia Cavaliers as favorites to win the conference in 2025. The Cavaliers earned a league-leading 251 points and received 13 of 16 first-place votes. Florida State was picked second with 2 first-place votes, North Carolina third, and Clemson fourth with the Tigers receiving one first-place vote as well. It is the first time Virginia has been tabbed as the preseason favorite in the league since 2015 when the Cavaliers won the program’s first National Championship. Virginia baseball is coming off of its seventh trip to the College World Series in 2024. They begin the season February 14 at the Puerto Rico Challenge against Michigan.
