RICHMOND, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – On NewsRadio WINA, Hugh Hewitt on his late morning show asked Governor Youngkin if the Trump-Vance ticket can win Virginia. The Governor said after he won by 2 points the year after Joe Biden won by 10, Virginia’s in play. And a new VCU L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs poll bears that out.
In a poll conducted between June 24 and July 3 of 809 adults 18-and-older reached via phone, 39% said they plan to vote for Donald Trump and 36% for Joe Biden. The margin of error is just under 5%. Only 36% approve of the job Biden is doing as President, and 53% are less likely to vote for Trump following his felony conviction.
Top issue is cost of living, followed by reproductive rights and immigration.
