CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Z95.1 and 95.5 3WV took home first-place honors at this past weekend’s Virginia Association of Broadcasters’ 89th annual summer convention in Virginia Beach.
Z95.1 won for the best station promotion or contest for its Christmas Greetings promotion. 3WV took home a first-place honor for best commercial for its McDonough Toyota spot.
Both stations are part of the Charlottesville Media Group.

WINA, CMG’s news and talk station, won runner-up awards for outstanding newscast and for outstanding sports coverage for its show, “The Best Seat in the House.”
CMG, which also owns and operates Cville Right Now, is owned by SAGA Communications. SAGA stations in Norfolk/Virginia Beach and Harrisonburg won awards.
