Charlottesville, VA (cvillerightnow.com): Five members of the University of Virginia Women’s Soccer Team got the call to spend part of their summer training at the highest level, with the most decorated Women’s Soccer National Team of the last decade, the US Women.   

Midfielder Ella Carter and Goalkeeper Victoria Safradin are headed to Carson, California to train with the U-20 National Team.  Safradin played summer for the Croatian Women’s National Team in qualifiers for their bid to qualify for the 2025 European Championships. 

Attacking midfielder Addison Halpern, forward Sophia Bradley, and defender Jordyn Hardeman are headed to Fayetteville, Georgia, to train at the combined U-18/U-19 camp.  Hardeman and Halpern are both newcomers to Steve Swanson’s side.   

All five players have experience training at camps like these before.  It began on Tuesday and is set to end on July 1st.   

They will be playing for spots on the qualifying squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Poland.
