CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The updated University of Virginia hazing misconduct report reveals termination of the contract of a second fraternity to join one terminated in April. The report, updated July 2, adds Theta Chi along with Pi Kappa Alpha in termination, and neither can seek re-establishment until the 2028-29 academic year at the earliest.

The University reports Theta Chi failed to cooperate and acknowledge responsibility for hazing. The Theta Chi findings are very similar to hazing actions found with Pi Kappa Alpha… participating in lineups where rushes had to answer questions and be punished for getting them wrong, rushes having to consume various food and non-food items, coercion to engage in various acts of servitude. Pi Kappa did cooperate and acknowledge responsibility back in April for hazing, though the termination periods for the two are the same.
Sigma Alpha Mu and Pi Lamda Phi are suspended pending University Judiciary Committee hearings.
