Paris, France (CVILLE RIGHT NOW):  Fourth year Sky Dahl, representing UVA Rowing at the Paris Olympics in 2024, took to water in Vaires-sur-Marne Stadium alongside her Mixed PR3 crew looking to punch their ticket to a Paralympic Final.  Dahl, Alex Flynn, Ben Washburne, Gemma Wollenschlaeger, and Coxswain Emelie Eldracher battled France, Australia, Brazil, and South Korea in their heat.  Australia charged off the start line to earn the early lead, but a steady pace set by the American squad allowed them to take control across the half-way mark of the race, finishing with a commanding victory.  Their time of 6:57.18 allowed them to qualify for the final alongside France, who finished second in their heat, Germany, and rowing powerhouse Great Britain, who won their heat with a world record time of 6:43:68.   The repechage round for the remaining teams to fill out the rest of the final lineup is tomorrow at 05:50 AM local time, and the Americans will race in the event final on September 1st at 06:30 AM local time.
