Charlottesville, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW): The spectacular run of UVA Men’s Soccer in the ACC tournament may have come to a tough end last Thursday at Wake Forest, but good news came on Monday’s NCAA Tournament Selection Show. The Hoos will enter play as the 11th seed in the tournament, also earning a first-round bye and home field advantage for their trouble. Their next game will be at Klockner Stadium next Sunday, November 24th, at 5:00 PM. Their opponents will be either North Florida or West Virginia. The Mountaineers are favored in their first-round matchup, with a regular season record of 12-1-7. Their last loss with back on October 15th against Dayton, and since then they have won two games and drawn three in a row to end the season. As for the Ospreys of North Florida, they ended the year 7-7-4, coming off a dramatic victory in a penalty shootout during the Atlantic Sun Final against Central Arkansas. The first-round match to determine Virginia’s next opponent is this Thursday at 5:00 PM.
