CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) — The season openers for both UVA men’s and women’s lacrosse have been moved to the Lower Turf Field on Grounds and will not be open to the public due to icy conditions on the playing surface at Klöckner Stadium.

The No. 10 women’s team will face Navy on Friday at 4 p.m. before the No. 10 men’s team face Colgate on Sunday at noon. Both games will be available to stream on ACC Network Extra.

All single-game tickets already purchased to the men’s team’s game are eligible to be exchanged for another regular season home game through the ticketholders’ UVAtix.com online account.

UVA officials are hopeful, based on the upcoming forecast, that the men’s team’s next schedule home game, against Johns Hopkins on Feb. 28, could be played at Klöckner. The women’s team’s next home game is against Richmond on Wednesday, with no official word yet on if the game will also change its venue. After that, the women’s team is also set to play at home on Feb. 28 against No. 5 Stanford.
