CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – In a demonstration of the credentials that earned him the head coaching post of UVA Golf, Bowen Sargent won the Charlottesville City Amateur Golf Championship senior division title on Sunday.  

At Meadowcreek Golf Course, Sargent went into the second day of competition in a strong position to take the title. He led Steve Firkins of Magnolia Green Golf Club, and Neil Davis of The Keswick Club, throughout play on Sunday, shooting an even par of 70 to win the championship by two strokes.  

UVA Golf will open the 2024-25 season at the Inverness Intercollegiate tournament in Toledo, Ohio.
