CHASKA, MN (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Amateur standout Paul Chang of UVA continues to turn heads with his performance at the U.S. Amateur Championships in Minnesota.

Match play began yesterday, with Cavalier Ben James also advancing out of stroke play alongside Chang. James fell 2&1 to defending champion Jose Luis Ballester in his contest.

Chang put on a show with a 5 and 4 triumph against one-time Iowa State Cardinal Nate McCoy. At the time of writing, he has teed off against Canadian amateur champion Tyler Mawhinney, looking to advance to the round of 16 for the second year in a row.

The tournament will be broadcast on the Golf Channel and Peacock beginning at 5 p.m. EST and running until 8 p.m.
