CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Class of 2024 graduating from the University of Virginia this weekend is like no other. This mostly high school Class of 2020, for the most part, celebrated high school graduation, at home online, because of COVID lockdowns that spring. And in a UVA Today video called “A Dream Delayed”, students talked about even their college experience beginning like no other: instead of experiencing Move-In Day, sitting at a computer in their living rooms.

“Classes felt fake first-year, almost, with Zoom,” one student quipped.
Another talks about sneaking into dorm rooms so friends could eat dinner together.
