Charlottesville, VA (cvillerightnow.com): Speculation that Virginia Baseball shortstop Eric Becker would be withdrawing from the transfer portal has now been confirmed.

Minutes ago, the Wahoo star posted via Instagram that he was “Not done yet”, adding the hashtag #GoHoos.

You can find Becker’s post HERE.

The Virginia shortstop was electric on offense last season, hitting .368 with 74 hits, 21 doubles, and nine homeruns, notching 52 RBIs.

The New York native’s bat and glove, combined with an expected official announcement that 2025 third baseman Luke Hanson sticking around fills out new head coach Chris Pollard’s infield, featuring new transfers Sam Harris (Duke) at first base, and Joe Tiroly (Ryder) at second base.
