CHARLOTTESVILLE (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – UVA Athletics and the Virginia Athletics Foundation announce a new seating plan slated to begin in the 2027-28 season. The current 20-year seat licensing agreements expire after the 2026-27 season and the VAF says this new plan is being announced now so people have time to plan. They say this is not a reseating in that current season ticketholders have the first priority to renew their seats under the new terms. Gift amounts range from $10,000-to-$150,000 with 30% discount for “paid in full by June 30, 2025. This agreement is for five years.

The University notes the new plan helps fund the Athletics Strategic Initiative Fund with a goal “to maintain competitive excellence, including additional scholarship opportunities”. The announcement says other schools have reseated — such as Gonzaga, Pitt, and Syracuse — which UVA is not electing to do.
