CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – For the second straight week, the Atlantic Coast Conference has named UVA football safety Jonas Sanker the league’s Defensive Back of the Week. The Charlottesville native and Covenant grad is the first UVA defensive player to garner back-to-back ACC honors since Quin Blanding in 2017. He had 11 tackles, 8 of them solo, in Saturday’s 24-20 loss at home to Louisville.

The Hoos travel to 10th-ranked Clemson this coming Saturday in a noon kickoff with a 10am Cav Countdown start on NewsRadio WINA. Click here for the entire Sanker release.
