INDIANAPOLIS, IN (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Another Wahoo women’s swimmer is a U.S. Olympian… this one not quite as known as the Walsh sisters or Kate Douglass and Paige Madden. In fact, Emma Weber told SwimSwam after her Olympic Trials 100-meter breast finals swim she looked up at her time and felt “I don’t think that’s right”.
But she edged the 100-meter breast gold medalist in Tokyo for one of two spots on the Olympic team in this event.

Weber has been 100-meter breast All-ACC this year and last. This year, she finished 3rd in the event at the ACC Championships, as well as the NCAA-B final. She said her UVA Coach — and Olympic team swimming coach — Todd DeSorbo told her to do the best she can and rely what she’d been doing in practice. And she said her UVA teammates belief in her encourages her to believe in herself.
