SCHUYLER, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Two pet dogs died in a Monday afternoon fire involving trailers and another vehicle at The Quarries about a mile north of Schuyler. Albemarle fire crews were dispatched shortly after 1 this afternoon to the 8400 block of Schuyler Road to a reported structure fire. First crews arrived 11 minutes later to find two campers and a vehicle heavily involved in flames. The campers’ residents were not home at the time, and the vehicle was also unoccupied.
The Albemarle Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.
