ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA (CVILLERIGHTNOW) – Authorities are investigating the deaths of two Albemarle County residents found inside their home with gunshot wounds.

According to the Albemarle County Police Department, officers were dispatched on Sunday, March 16, 2025, to conduct a welfare check at a residence in the 500 block of Loblolly Lane. The caller reported that the homeowners had not been heard from since at least Thursday, March 13.

Upon entering the home, officers located two individuals—77-year-old Lucille R. Williams and 86-year-old Bernard M. Williams—both deceased from gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives believe the incident was isolated and say there is no ongoing threat to the public.
