CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Republican 5th District congressional hopeful John McGuire is getting a primary day eve appearance from Donald Trump, and UVA politics professor Larry Sabato thinks that will end Bob Good’s incumbency. Trump a couple of weeks ago endorsed McGuire, who entered the race last fall after Good endorsed Ron DeSantis for President. Trump posted on Truth Social he’ll be doing a TeleRally for McGuire 6pm Monday.

Sabato calls it a “stake in Good’s re-election” chances.
The new post doesn’t mention Good, but mentions President Biden as “ruining” a secure border, “making it one of the worst human catastrophes ever in our country”.
