CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Donald Trump’s first post-debate stop, of all places, will be Friday in Virginia. Governor Youngkin will be joining Trump at the 3pm rally at Greenbriar Farms in Chesapeake. UVa’s Larry Sabato reasons the reason why Trump is coming here is neither side is going to win a huge electoral majority, so they’re looking to change the map.
He says Trump is looking at Virginia and Minnesota, and Biden at North Carolina.
As for Youngkin being there…Sabato says it’s no secret Trump is not crazy about Youngkin, and he doesn’t know what Youngkin thinks of Trump. But he’s sure Youngkin will do what will better his career. Sabato says Youngkin has, for the most part, kept Trump at arm’s length, and it’s interesting that he’ll be there Friday as Trump’s head cheerleader.
