CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLERIGHTNOW) – Emergency crews responded to a tractor trailer crash in the 9000 block of Rockfish Gap Turnpike late Tuesday morning that left corn debris scattered across the roadway.
According to Albemarle County Police Department and Albemarle County Fire Rescue, the incident occurred around 10:25 a.m. While no travel lanes were blocked, drivers were urged to use caution due to the spilled corn, which had the potential to attract wildlife to the area.
Authorities advised drivers to stay alert for animals that could have been crossing the road as a result of the debris. No injuries were reported, and cleanup operations were underway.
