CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) –After Elite Company won the first ever Tonsler League In-Season Tournament, the season is on bye-week, set to resume in less than a week with Thursday games at Tonsler Park on 7/11. If you’re looking to follow the league in the 2024 season, here is what you need to know about how the games have played out.

Up to this point, Elite Company leads the way. They are currently 5-0, blasting Takeover 51-36 in their last game on June 30th. If this form keeps up, they will remain the team to beat throughout the final three weeks of the season. In 2nd place, there is a three-way tie between Ballyworld, Supreme Skills, and Team Lake. Skillz and Lake were in the win column on Sunday, with Lake besting BTA Elite 77-65, and Skillz, last season’s defending champions, and tournament runners-up, won an 11-point victory over Team Sweetlick 66-55. Ballyworld were the unfortunate team of the trio, dropping their chance to go 5-0 and keep pace with Elite Company in a heartbreaker to Mamba Mentality 57-55 in the last game of the night.

There are still three more games to play and plenty of changes in the standings still in the cards. Ballyworld will tangle with Elite Company in the game of the week on Sunday night at 8pm. Team Lake will also have an opportunity to climb the table against Splikak at 7pm on Thursday. Lastly, Mamba Mentality, following their victory against Ballyworld, will look to let it ride against Takeover on Sunday at 7pm, and put themselves in the conversation for one of the top teams in the league.

It’s all happening at Tonsler Park, Thursday nights at 6pm and Sunday nights beginning at 5pm.
