Thomas Hamner Faucett Sr., age 82, of Keswick, Va passed away on February 4th, 2024, at the Center for Acute Hospice Care in Charlottesville, Va.

Born April 15, 1941, in Tuscaloosa, AL, he was the son of Omar Truett Faucett Sr. and Sarah Hamner Faucett, who preceded him in death.

Tom graduated from the University of Alabama in 1963 with a BS in Accounting where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.

After college, he served as a quartermaster in the United States Army for 3 years in Anchorage, AK before embarking on a career in international finance. After becoming a CPA, he worked for Exxon, RJ Reynolds, Baxter-Travenol, Dibrell Bros, and Castle Springs Water. He and his family lived in Hong Kong for three years where they were able to travel extensively throughout Europe and Asia.

Tom is survived by the love of his life and wife of 60 years, Mildred McNeil Faucett of Keswick, VA, and his three children, Karen Hetherington (Alexander) of Vienna, VA, Laura Schafer (Russell) of San Ramon, CA, and Thomas Faucett Jr. (Kathryn) of Mooresville, NC; his eight grandchildren Sarah, Thomas, Matthew, William, Tommy, Brooks, Samuel and Noah; as well as his brother Omar Truett Faucett Jr. (Kathy) of Jasper, AL; and sister Sarah Faucett Cobb of Northport, AL; along with his many nieces and nephews.

Tom adored his grandchildren and spending time with family. He loved fishing, golf, playing poker and rooting for his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide. Known for his wonderful sense of humor, he had a deep joy for life and lived every day to the fullest.
