CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Accuweather forecasters advise being very weather aware the entire weekend. Accuweather’s Jeff Nordeen advises Friday and Saturday could see strong thunderstorms with heavy downpours and gusty, damaging winds. He says 55-to-65mph winds are possible, with even some gusts in some places over 70. Then Sunday, we could add hail and spinning of a tornado or two to the mix in what could be severe storms. He expects activity to start widespread just afternoon Friday afternoon drive, and the activity will be spotty throughout the weekend. But the storms could pack a wallop for those experiencing them.
