CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Two people had to find someplace else to stay over the weekend after a lightning-strike fire damaged a home on Stony Point Road Saturday afternoon about a half-mile south of the Watts Passage intersection. Firefighters were called around 4pm Saturday to a home at 3609 Stony Point Road. Upon arrival six minutes later, they found smoke coming from the home and one person home of the two who live there at the time had safely escaped. The residents are being assisted by family.
