STANARDSVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – An investigation into the distribution of Fentanyl in Greene County has led to an arrest.

A search warrant executed at a Stanardsville home on May 28, 2024, led to the seizure of drugs, cash and a handgun, leading to the arrest of Deangelo L. Taylor .

The items seized were:

  • Approximately 700 M-30 pills (believed to be Fentanyl)
  • Approximately 60 grams of Cocaine
  • S. Currency in the amount of $2329.00
  • Handgun

Taylor, 23, is being held at Central Virginia Regional Jail on the following charges:

  • Two counts of Code of VA 18.2-248           Distribution of Schedule I or II (Fentanyl/Cocaine)
  • Code of VA 18.2-308.4                                  Possession of a firearm while Possessing Schedule I or II
  • Code of VA 18.2-308.2                                  Possession of a firearm after being convicted of a Felony.

The investigation was led by the 3A Narcotics and Gang Task Force in conjunction with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit. The investigation continues, with further charges pending.
