CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLERIGHTNOW) – Beginning Monday, March 10, the McIntire Recycling Center will remain open until 6:30 PM, extending its closing time by one hour.

The extended hours will be in effect through Sunday, November 2. The center will return to its standard schedule—8:30 AM to 5:30 PM—on Monday, November 3, following the end of daylight saving time.

McIntire Recycling Center (611 McIntire Road) accepts a variety of recyclable materials including cardboard, glass, aluminum cans, #1 and #2 plastic containers, mixed paper, compostable food waste, pizza boxes, and used cooking oil. The facility operates Wednesday through Monday and is closed on Tuesdays.
