CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Shenandoah National Park officials have announced the entire length of Skyline Drive is closed until further notice because of inclement weather. High winds and snow showers were forecast for Thursday morning making driving hazardous. The 105-mile scenic roadway is the only public road through the park and typically remains open 24/7. There is no official word yet on when it will re-open. During closures, visitors may still access the park on foot via entrance stations or boundary access points.
