LURAY, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW): If you’re hoping to go for a hike in Shenandoah National Park this Labor Day weekend, please note that a section of Dark Hollow Falls Trail will be closed as of today for repairs.

After recent heavy rainstorms, the central section of the trail has been washed out and is not passable for hikers.

The Story of the Forest trail closed earlier this month after the rain from Hurricane Debbie watched out a bridge on the trail, making it impassable also.

Rose River Trail will not be affected by the closures, and visitors to the park are encouraged to enjoy it at their leisure.

The work on Dark Hollow Falls will hopefully be completed by September 10th of this year according to a release from Park Officials.
