Shawn Dean Comparto, 50, of Chesapeake, Virginia passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2024.

Shawn was born on July 6, 1973, in Norfolk, Virginia to Samuel Comparto Jr. and the late Beulah Christine Comparto.

Shawn was a life long resident of South Norfolk, and attended Oscar F. Smith High School. Shawn played baseball, football and was a competitive surfer in his early years. He passed on his passion for sports by coaching his two son’s, Brody and Kody, in baseball and football.

He later acquired a strong passion for the gym and the sport of bodybuilding. Shawn and his best friend Paul Powell, Co-Owned Wall-to-Wall painting Inc. for 7 years and later followed in his father’s footsteps by becoming a commercial truck driver.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jodi Comparto; daughter, Skylar Comparto; two sons, Brody and Kody Comparto; Father, Samuel Comparto; Mother and Father in law; Angel and Gary Morningstar; Step-Children, Brian Morningstar, Brad Morningstar, and Miracle (Andrew) DeBiase; Grandchildren, Brian, Kaleigh, Brynden, Jameson, Roman and Charlene; aunt, Dottie Myers; and cousins, Rob and Sherry Copeland.

He was proceeded in death by his mother, Christine Comparto and brother, Shane Comparto.
