CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A day to be very weather aware as storms move into the area this afternoon putting us under a flood watch through 4 Saturday morning for 2-to-3 inches of rain — with 4 or more in localized areas. Accuweather’s Jeff Nordeen says some storms could be severe with large hail, damaging winds, and possible tornados. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
