STAUNTON, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A more than 10,000-pound excavator, along with other equipment and smaller tools, are among items that were stolen from a construction site outside Staunton. The Augusta County Sheriff is looking especially for a John Deere 50g excavator stolen from a Spring Lake area job site as well as numerous other power and hand tools reported stolen. Construction crews arrived at the site Monday morning, July 14, and noticed the excavator, a generator, and tools gone, and a skid loader damaged.
There’s a reward for information leading to an arrest and the recovery of the stolen equipment. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 540-245-5333. All calls can remain anonymous.
