Rodez L. Anderson, “Cheese,” 73, of Buck Island, Albemarle County, Virginia passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Martha Jefferson Hospital. Rodez was born September 7, 1950, in Charlottesville, Virginia to the late Lewis and Lucille Anderson. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia R. Anderson.
He graduated from Lane High School in 1968 and obtained his teaching degree from Virginia State College (University). He taught industrial arts for 34 years in the Albemarle County School System at Albemarle High School and then at Jack Jouett Middle School where he had a major impact in many students’ lives.
Rodez is survived by his children, Roderick (Julie) Anderson, April L. Anderson, & Tia J. Shelton, grandchildren Matthew Anderson, Quinn Anderson, Reese Anderson, Alma Shelton, and Lucy Anderson, three brothers, Willie C. (Bettye) Anderson, Marcellus (Paulette) Anderson, and Adrian Anderson, two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Haynes and Pauline Hopper, and one brother-in-law, Winfred (Judy) Roseboro, former daughter-in-law Aliceia (Harold) Wells, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. To all the Special family and friends, we apologize that you are not listed here. Fortunately, and unfortunately, there were too many to name and we did not want to leave anyone out, but you know he loved you and we love that you showed him so much love. Thank you!
