CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Police and Fire Rescue personnel have been searching the Rivanna River Reservoir since late Sunday night for a person who was reported missing, according to an Albemarle County Police Department announcement Monday morning.

The person was reported to have gone missing near the 240 block of Woodland Rd. Rescue teams from ACPD and Albemarle County Fire Rescue are currently searching the area, according to ACPD. The department did not release any more information about the missing person.

“Community members can expect a significant public safety presence in the area while search operations are underway,” the ACPD announcement said.
