CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – It’s primary day in Virginia where most area voters are deciding who they want to run in the 5th District Congressional race for both Republicans and Democrats. It’s finally the day of reckoning between incumbent Bob Good and challenger John McGuire in a race that has been extremely contentious. There’s a Republican primary on the ballot to run against Democratic incumbent Tim Kaine. Kaine is not opposed for the Democrats’ nomination.
Democrats have three people running against each other in a much more quiet 5th District Congressional nomination race. That’s Gloria Witt, Paul Reilly, and Gary Terry.
Polls close at 7, and if you’re in line up until that time, you can vote.
