Rebecca “Becky” Trogdon Crawford of Palmyra, VA, left her earthly home March 21, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 2, 1940, to the late James and Frances Trogdon (Hanger) in Staunton, Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse of 57 years, Glenn Crawford, Sr. and infant daughter Wanda Jane Crawford.

Rebecca is survived by her daughter, Frances Brown of Palmyra; sons, Glenn Alvin Crawford, Jr. of Palmyra and James Crawford and his wife, Wendi of Arab, AL; sisters, Leanna Marshall (Hunter) of Charlottesville, Kathy Layman (Randy) of Batesville; brothers, J. Calvin Trogdon, Jr. (Janice) of Charlottesville, George Trogdon (Joanne) of Afton; sister-in-law, Linda Crawford (Richard); eight grandchildren, Cryston Redieske (Chris), Amanda Deane Hill (Jacob), Jonathan Gross (Devin), Mitchell Crawford, Courtney Clanton, Morgan Dunn (Nic), AJ Crawford (Hannah), and Tyler Crawford (Cheyanne). She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and one on the way; special friends Cathy and Roger Snead along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Rebecca grew up in Charlottesville, graduating from Lane High School, class of 1959. She was a dedicated Administrative Assistant at the UVA Police Department for 37 years. She had been a dependable, loving childcare provider to many prior to her years at UVA.
