Ralph D. Wells, Sr, 86, was born on June 24, 1937, and went home to be with the Lord on June 14, 2024. He was born in Charlottesville, Va. To the late Lee Robert Wells & Ellen Hansberry Wells.
Ralph accepted Christ as his Lord & Savior as a young man and rededicated his life @ Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Faber, Va and later went on to join Mt. Zion First African Baptist Church in the old edifice in 1991. He was a faithful member & enjoyed his time on the usher board – which he served for several years until he could no longer perform his usher duties.
Ralph worked at Tel-Services for a number of years, until he retired in 2003, after that, he was able to do what he loved, which was fishing, working in the yard, making sure the grass was cut the right way (his way), the trees were trimmed up looking good and that his gazebo didn’t have anything out of place…
But most of all he just loved being with his family… One of his favorite sayings was, “I’m still holding on, because of my family”…
Ralph is preceded in death by his Parents; his 3 brothers Dallas, Robert & Curtis Wells; his sister Molly Wells; his great grandson Dynez J. Major & his great granddaughter Chise Kidwell…
