CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW)  – The Charlottesville Tom Sox won their home opener with a 10-3 victory over the Culpeper Cavaliers. Trever Booton’s pitching set the tone, and Cade Belyeu contributed two home runs. Despite a challenge from Culpeper, Charlottesville quickly regained control.

Brett Gastman’s pitching extended the lead, and Thomas Whelan finished the game. Belyeu’s home runs and Ethan Gibson’s four walks, tying a record, were notable performances.

This win balanced the Tom Sox’s season record and leads into their next game against the Waynesboro Generals.
