CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLERIGHTNOW) – Charlottesville Police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred early Saturday morning on the 800 block of West Main Street.

Officers responded to the area at approximately 12:28 a.m. after multiple reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, police located several shell casings in the roadway and nearby parking lots. No injuries or property damage have been reported at this time, according to authorities.

The area remained closed while police continue their investigation. No suspect description is available at this time.
