FRONT ROYAL, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A pilot in a small, private aircraft that crashed Tuesday evening in Warren County was not hurt. State Police say around 7 Tuesday evening, the pilot had to make an emergency landing in a field in the 1400 block of Steed Lane… a couple of miles west of Front Royal. He was able to land the plane in the field, but it struck several trees before coming to a stop.

45-year old Travis Berlin of Parma, MI was flying the aircraft and the only person onboard. The FAA and NTSB have been notified, and the incident remains under investigation.
