ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 2:05 pm, the Albemarle County Police Department and Albemarle County Fire Rescue responded to the 6700 block of Jefferson Mill Road for a single-vehicle crash involving a tree.

Upon arrival, responders attempted multiple life-saving efforts, but the driver of the vehicle was later pronounced deceased at the scene. The identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation by the Albemarle County Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team.
