MONTBELLO, Va. (AP) The unresponsive business jet that flew over the nation’s capital had plunged into a Virginia mountain at a high velocity before it burst into flames. That’s according to a report released Wednesday by the National Transportation Safety Board. The agency’s preliminary findings shed little light on what might have caused the crash that killed four people on June 4th. However, outside observers and the plane’s owner have theorized that a lack of oxygen inside the cockpit may have led to the crash. The wayward plane alarmed the U.S. military and prompted the Pentagon to scramble fighter jets to intercept the small aircraft.
