CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A welfare check at a home in Arrington led to the discovery of a dead body Wednesday, the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday.
Deputies were called to 2294 Tye River Road in Arrington on Wednesday for a welfare check on the person who resided at the property.
“Upon arrival at this address, Deputies made entry into the residence due to mitigating circumstances,” according to the department’s release. “Deputies located an individual inside the residence that was not demonstrating signs of life, and was pronounced deceased.”
In addition to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office the Virginia State Police, Bureau of Criminal Investigation, responded to the scene.
