NATURAL BRIDGE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Natural Bridge State Park in Rockbridge has installed the state-of-the-art accessibility system RightHear to make the park fully inclusive for the blind and visually impaired.
The system uses a smartphone app that gives audio instructions and directions and gives detailed descriptions of key locations throughout the parks’ many trails.
“This innovative technology ensures that all visitors to Natural Bridge State Park, regardless of their visual abilities, can experience the wonder of the Natural Bridge”, said Dr. Melissa Baker, Director of Virginia State Parks.
The app is usable in 26 different languages.
