CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Albemarle County Police searched the area of the 1900 block of Swanson Drive on Monday night, evacuating the Regal movie theater in Stonefield following the report of an armed suspect, an ACPD spokesperson told Cville Right Now.

Police received the report at 8:36 p.m. and swept the location, but “found no threats and no weapons on the scene,” the spokesperson said.

ACPD issued an all-clear but officers remain at the scene investigating the call.

Social media users described being evacuated from the movie theater by armed police officers.
