CHARLOTTESVILLE (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Monticello Wine Trail announces Monticello Wine Week, an immersive celebration of Virginia’s premier wine region, will be June 5-8 this year. With events spanning Charlottesville, Albemarle, Nelson, Orange, and Greene counties, this annual series highlights the exceptional wines, winemakers, and vineyards that define the Monticello American Viticultural Area. In 2023, the Monticello Wine Trail was Wine Enthusiast’s Wine Region of the Year.
Leading up to the week’s signature festivities, Monticello Wine Week will tee off with special pre-events with presenting sponsor Keswick Hall:

April 30 – Winemaker’s Golf Tournament & Reception at Keswick Hall, presenting sponsor
An exclusive day on the world renowned Full Cry golf course, featuring Virginia winemakers on the course. The tournament begins with breakfast, followed by lunch and then an evening reception featuring a selection of award winning regional wines and light bites with winemakers.

An intimate dining experience where top Monticello AVA wines will be expertly paired with exceptional cuisine on the rooftop of the Doyle Hotel in Charlottesville. -
June 6 – Gold Medal Celebration & Monticello Cup Announcement at The Bradbury
Taking place in the heart of downtown Charlottesville, this highly anticipated evening will honor the region’s top wines, culminating in the announcement of the Monticello Cup Winner and the Monticello Cup Competition award winners. -
June 7 – Rosé Picnic Lunch at Afton Mountain Vineyards
A stylish afternoon celebration dedicated to Virginia rosé, featuring curated food pairings, live music, and picturesque vineyard views. -
June 8 – Sparkling Brunch at Veritas Farm & Winery
A lively brunch featuring Virginia’s finest sparkling wines, perfect for toasting to the success of Monticello Wine Week.
