Charlottesville, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The McGill/McHale Trio will perform in Charlottesville on February 25, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. at Old Cabell Hall Auditorium at UVA. Their program will feature works by Francis Poulenc, Chris Rogerson, Valerie Coleman, and others.

The trio includes flutist Demarre McGill, clarinetist Anthony McGill, and pianist Michael McHale, each with extensive experience performing with major orchestras and chamber ensembles. The program will include Poulenc’s Sonatas for Flute and Clarinet, Rogerson’s A Fish Will Rise, and Coleman’s Portraits of Langston. 

Known for their collaborations across various musical styles, the trio brings a selection of pieces that highlight both classical traditions and contemporary influences. 

This performance offers an opportunity to hear a diverse selection of compositions performed by musicians with backgrounds in orchestral and chamber music.
